For a long time now I
have been thinking... do I really have something to write anymore? Have I lost
the little girl within who wrote wrote and wrote under the growing tree that
her mom planted in their garden? Did she lose her on the way to getting where
she is? Did she forget how to hold a pen in her hand? The smell of ink? The unique
colour she loved when blue ink and black ink was mixed together? Has the
fountain she 1st owned dried away and rusted with time?
Now that I have gone
through the four year journey of college which never gave me a second to
reflect, I thought why not start. A late start but one for sure.
So, WELCOME...
Gween-ary: (noun) Gween is the
pronunciation of the colour green when it is said with excitement, obsession or
happiness. (Also
used as GWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN)
The colour green is
the colour of balance and harmony. From a colour psychology perspective, it is
the great balancer of the heart and the emotions, creating equilibrium between
the head and the heart. (I really wonder)
From a meaning of colours
perspective, green is also the colour of growth, the colour of spring, of
renewal and rebirth. The colour green is an emotionally positive colour, giving
us the ability to love and nurture ourselves and others unconditionally. A
natural peacemaker, green must avoid the tendency to become a martyr. (You said it)
Green loves to
observe. It relates to the counsellor, the good listener, the social worker. It
loves to contribute to society. It is the charity worker, the good parent and
the helpful neighbour.
Green has a strong
sense of right or wrong, inviting good judgment (umm.. I wouldn’t be too sure about that).
It sees both sides of the equation, weighs them up, and then usually takes the
moral stand in making appropriate decisions.
Green promotes a
love of nature, and a love of family, friends, pets and the home. It is the colour
of the garden lover, the home lover and the good host. Green is generous and
loves to share, but it also looks for recognition (well, hellloooo.. I am a Leo as well).
It is friendly and can keep confidences.
Green relates to
stability and endurance, giving us persistence and the strength to cope with
adversity. Green is the colour of prosperity and abundance, of finance and
material wealth (CHA
CHING!!!!). It relates to the business world, to real estate and
property. Prosperity gives a feeling of safety to green.
On the negative, the
colour green can be possessive and materialistic, with a need to own people and
things… LET’s just stop right there…
